Hacks on Tap

I will admit to reaching for feel good stories (ie — those that end with a new executive resident in Washington in 210 Days, 2 hours, 34 minutes).  It is what gets me through the day.  A long time ago I ran across a podcast, the only one I listen to religiously, Hacks On Tap.  It is curated by David Axelrod, Senior Advisor to President Obama, instrumental to his election, and Mike Murphy, GOP Strategist and general electoral raconteur (AKA, usually the enemy).

These two have been on the inside of many successful (and some not successful) elections and have spent their lives thinking about the process.  Now they apply their years of experience to this election.  Mike is a conservative, Republican Never Trumper, on the band wagon before it was cool.  So they have a little bit of a slant but it is encouraging.

They have walked me through the Democratic nomination process week by week with a lot of inside the ball park information translated for those of us who have never been there but are interested to know how the mechanism works.

All of this to say that this week's podcast with Robert Gibbs (President Obama press secretary) had a lot of really good nuggets.

Highly recommended and fun to listen to.
