Kind of a weird departure
One of the problems I had with my short term job was that the scheduling was insane. I had four blocks of time today. Three half hour blocks and one hour separated by various amounts of dead time. So two and a half hours total but broken up. Really kind of annoying and not something I had anticipated when I started looking at this. I thought I'd maybe have a four hour block five days a week. Nope.
My last hour was actually filled with the kind of calls I loved. They were happy, friendly people looking for help and I had the tools to do it. I was able to fix their issues on the first call only having to ask for one piece of information from tier 2 and had fun conversations with them while I was doing it. So there was that little tug again, was I doing the right thing.
Fortunately there was a Slack message I saw as I was getting ready to leave that we're no longer doing CSA we are doing QA now on rolling grading periods.
Having no clue nor interest in what the hell any of that means I was happy to be pulling out of dodge before my QA ran into my Rubric.
I closed about 40 tickets this week and only pissed one person off (he was mad at the company, not me, but it registers as mad at me). I piss off more people than that going to the store so I was pleased.
