I stopped to think and forgot to start again

I'm a CASA volunteer.  We had a meeting scheduled for tonight (actually rescheduled from last month when no one could go).  Probably 20-25 people in a small room eating pot luck dinner and talking for two hours.  

I realized last night that there was no way I was going to stuff myself in a room with 20 other people!!  I'm one of the least concerned people I've ever known since I've lived a very healthy life but there are limits.

Once I realized that I didn't have to go my stomach unclenched.  Back to social distancing or what I like to call my usual life.

I've thought for a long time that debates should not have a live audience.  This was solidified when Trump was kind of dancing around behind Hillary during their debate, monkey for the audience.  The debaters should be working to explain their position, how their vision might work, how they intend to steer the country.  Instead what we get is zingers, coup counting, sucking up to the audience.

Well, I get my wish.  The Democratic National Committee said Sunday's debate between Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders in Phoenix will be held without an audience over concerns about the spreading coronavirus.

The first time in many years this has happened.  I'm looking forward to it.
