Environmental fail

I'm trying a new shampoo and conditioner both in bar form.  Like soap.  The shampoo is a great product so I got the conditioner too.  They have a bamboo container for them so it all works together the object of which is to stop using two plastic containers.  Small contribution to the world but grains of sand make a beach, etc...  The conditioner came today by itself in the box:

I'll recycle the box, of course, and the paper.  But I don't think in the big picture of things I'm making much of a positive impact on the environment.

I have noticed that our local grocery store invariably prices less expensive than Amazon.  They are very sophisticated so I suspect they have an algorithm to compare.  I'm much less inclined to order online without checking first now.
