Walmart curmudgeon fail
Our Walmart has a 'special' time for people over 60. It is becoming a thing in the country and while I think it might be a good idea it was a wast of my time this morning. The Walmart hour is 6AM.
Turns out a lot of old people are up at this hour. I probably went to the wrong Walmart. This one is a mile from our Sun City a community with something like 60000 rooftops so I guess the numbers were predictable.
Which might have been OK but when they opened up the doors they let everyone in at once which resulted, as one might think, in a internal basket gridlock. Total PIA once I got in.
Which might have been OK but the shelves were down 50% in general and 100% for anything I really wanted the most.
I managed to get some more eggs, bananas, and some Almond milk. We don't need much of anything else. I just try to look at the next thing we're going to run out of and work at ensuring a two week supply.
Since I ordered a shipment from Amazon pantry and got up at midnight to score a delivery (idea thanks to susandennis ) so we have cat litter and some other sundries.
Two things we need that the supply chain has not caught up with yet: Distilled water for my CPAP and flour. My CPAP machine can live on less than distilled water if necessary but I'm going to run out of flour. Amazingly the supply channels are empty:
I've got one bag left and that's maybe five baking sessions. Not something I'd worry about but knowing I can not get it is a little disconcerting.
